HOW TO KEEP TRACK OF THE VALIDATION STEPS AND WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS

First, log into your MySSL account at myssl.ssl247.co.uk/.es/.it/.nl/.se/.de/etc…

When you get to your MySSL account, click on "My SSL Certificates" and then "Pending".

When done, you will be able to see your pending certificates. Click on the green button "view my certificate".

When you are on your certificate details page, you will see a "status" column and you can see the status of your validation steps.

NOTE:“Not required” means that for this specific type of certificate some validation steps are not required for the issuance.





WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS





For Domain Validation (DV) certificates


Complete your Domain Control Validation (DCV) by choosing the method of your choice: alias email, DNS or txt file on your website.

More information about DCV methods here.



NOTE: Please note that the txt file is no longer available for Wildcard certificates. You can refer to this article.

NOTE 2: Check your DNS TTL (Time To Live) if you have done the validation but have not received your certificate.





For Organisation Validation (OV) certificates


We first want to verify the company before we verify the domain.



Step 1: Company verification.

You don't have to do anything on your side, our team will perform an audit using public data from official government and independent sources such as the Companies House. The goal is to verify that your company is legitimate.



Step 2: Phone call.

Our team searches for a number using official sources and asks to speak to the admin contact.



NOTE: If you do not have a number listed in official sources and you would like to find another option, contact the validation team. To contact the validation team, please refer to this article.



To schedule a call, please refer to the article "How to schedule a verification call".

When the call has been completed, you can proceed to step 3.



Step 3: Perform your Domain Control Validation (DCV).

Complete your Domain Control Validation (DCV) by choosing the method of your choice: alias email, DNS or txt file on your website.



NOTE: If you choose the alias email method, the email will be automatically sent after the verification phone call has been completed.





For Extended Validation (EV) certificates


We first want to verify the company before we verify the domain.



Step 1: Company verification.

You don't have to do anything on your side, our team will perform an audit using public data from official government and independent sources such as the Companies House. The goal is to verify that your company is legitimate.



Step 2: Sign the Subscriber Agreement (contract) sent by email.



Step 3: Phone call.

Our team searches for a number using official sources and asks to speak to the admin contact.



NOTE: If you do not have a number listed in official sources and you would like to find another option, contact the validation team. To contact the validation team, please refer to this article.



To schedule a call, please refer to the article "How to schedule a verification call".
